Working with horses is an important part of our school’s wellbeing provision. As well as being good fun, pupils can develop their fitness, communication skills, confidence, empathy, social skills and their fine and gross motor skills.
We work closely with external agencies such as the Heart of Wales and the Riding Disability Association (RDA). Many of our learners who engage with the equine provision have the opportunity to obtain level 1 and 2 qualifications in horse care. In addition to this, some of our learners who access the RDA have qualified for National competitions such as the Country Side challenge.
